Siskiyou County Recent Arrests
Every Siskiyou County arrest starts with an officer on the street. The stop might come from the Sheriff. It could also be Yreka Police, Mount Shasta Police, Weed Police, or CHP Yreka. Each agency builds its own arrest record. When the person is taken to jail, staff there create the booking and custody entry. Some arrests end with a citation instead. Those may never show up on the county roster at all.
The county's In Custody Information page connects to Citizen RIMS for current jail custody. A separate Sheriff arrest-data view takes date searches, but it covers only Sheriff arrests. City police and CHP events are left out. Neither tool promises a twenty-four-hour feed.
| Window | Best source | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Current custody | 24 Hour Arrests guide to Citizen RIMS | People still held; intake may lag |
| Multi-day Sheriff arrests | Citizen RIMS arrest data | Sheriff arrests only |
| Weekly local context | Arrest Log guide to booking reports | Editorial and delayed |
| Filed case and outcome | Siskiyou Superior Court | Not a booking roster; online data is not certified |
The jail holds a mix of people, not just those arrested today. It opened in 1988 with 68 beds. Later expansion brought it to 104. The daily population runs near 101. It includes pretrial detainees alongside sentenced misdemeanor and felony violators. That blend is why the current roster cannot be read as a list of today's arrests.
A booking entry and a court case are separate things. The roster shows custody, not outcomes. Court records tell that part of the story. They begin only if charges are actually filed.
Arrested Last Night in Siskiyou County
Someone arrested last night sits in one of three spots. They may still be in intake, cited and released, or already out of custody. Start with the official current-custody page. Read its warning, open Citizen RIMS, and note the time you checked. On a match, compare the booking number. Also check the booking date, arresting agency, arrest location, status, bail, and charges. A name alone is not enough to go on.
- Check current county custody and record when the search was made.
- Use the date-filtered Sheriff arrest view only when the Sheriff may be the arresting agency.
- For Yreka, Mount Shasta, Weed, or CHP activity, contact that agency or check the cross-agency weekly report.
- Call the Siskiyou County Jail at (530) 842-8157 when intake or a recent transfer may not yet be clear.
- Use the court portal later for a filed case and disposition, not for instant custody confirmation.
Citizen RIMS runs on no posted schedule. There is no set update interval, and weekends bring no promised refresh. A blank result only means nothing matching was visible at that moment. It does not show that no arrest happened.
The Siskiyou County Jail Roster
Think of the Siskiyou County Jail roster as a snapshot, not an archive. It can hold people booked by the Sheriff, by city departments, or by CHP. Check each entry for the arresting agency. After a release or transfer, a person can drop from the view. The arrest and booking records still exist.
| Search or result field | What it helps confirm |
|---|---|
| Full name | The displayed identity, subject to shared names and spelling errors |
| Booking number | The strongest local reference for a specific jail intake |
| Booking date | When the jail recorded intake, which may differ from arrest time |
| Arresting agency and location | Who made the arrest and where it was recorded |
| Status and total bail | The custody and bail values shown at the time checked |
| Charge details | Booked charges |
The county custody gateway opens with a required accuracy warning that every visitor must acknowledge. Accept it to reach the current RIMS roster. From there, search only with the fields the portal provides. The detail view, where offered, shows the booking number along with the arresting agency, so open it and note the date and local time you checked. Keep those notes for later reference. A record that comes up empty does not prove the person was never booked in Siskiyou County, since a different agency may hold that arrest record.

The county's warning says the data may be wrong, stale, interrupted, or altered after distribution. A portal result is therefore not a certified record.
Booking photos are disabled on the portal. The Sheriff lists no native booking app. Citizen RIMS is a responsive web portal that the county itself calls a work in progress, so features and availability can shift. Check the date on anything you pull.
Where Siskiyou County Arrests Are Published
No single page carries every Siskiyou County arrest, photo, custody change, and court outcome. Each office controls a different stage of the record. That is why official sources come first. News stories and unofficial indexes can offer leads or older context, but they cannot certify the government record.
| Channel | Photo shown? | Official? | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Citizen RIMS current custody | No, currently disabled | Yes | People shown in county jail custody at check time |
| Citizen RIMS Sheriff arrests | No, currently disabled | Yes | Date-filtered Sheriff arrest data only |
| City police records offices | Request-dependent | Yes | Reports created by Yreka, Mount Shasta, or Weed Police |
| Siskiyou Superior Court | No booking-photo role | Yes | Filed case, hearings, and disposition |
| CDCR CIRIS | Not a gallery | Yes | State-prison custody after a documented transfer |
| Siskiyou News bookings | No booking gallery in reviewed samples | No, editorial | Weekly cross-agency context sourced to SCSO reports |
| RecentlyBooked or Mugshots.com | May vary | No | Possible historical lead that must be checked against official records |
RecentlyBooked says its Siskiyou section defaults to a recent date range. It also refreshes more than once a day. The page itself showed an older crawl time. Mugshots.com keeps an older county index with city filters and no posted update schedule. Either site can be stale, incomplete, or simply wrong. Neither controls a release status, correction, sealing order, or court result.
Recent Arrests by City in Siskiyou County
The city pages track the three largest incorporated cities from the 2020 Census. Each one preserves that department's own records path. They do not claim arrests happen only in those cities. Nor do they imply each city runs its own jail.
- Yreka Recent Arrests: Yreka Police has its own Citizen RIMS link and records-request route; county jail custody remains a separate check.
- Mount Shasta Recent Arrests: no stable city arrest blotter was verified, so use Mount Shasta Police records and county custody.
- Weed Recent Arrests: no dedicated current city log was found; Weed Police records and the county booking path are the official routes.
A Siskiyou News weekly report can pull from many agencies. Yreka, Mount Shasta, Weed, the Sheriff, and CHP all may appear. Other offices can show up too. No issue is guaranteed to include every city.
What a Siskiyou County Arrest Record Shows
A booking record and an arrest report overlap, but they are not the same thing. The jail record centers on intake and custody. The arresting agency's report centers on the event itself. A court record begins only if a case gets filed.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Booking number and date | Jail intake reference and recorded time |
| Arrest date and time | When the arrest event was recorded |
| Agency and location | Credited arrest source and place |
| Case or incident number | Agency reference for a report request |
| Charges and bail | Booked charges and listed bail, both subject to change |
| Custody or release | Status, holding place, or release manner when recorded |
| Court case number | A separate reference after a case is filed |
The Sheriff's custody policy lists daily-log fields that may be available on request unless restricted. Those include name, physical description, date of birth, holds, and release details. Sensitive physical data is not mirrored here. A booking number and date make safer request keys. They are also more exact than a shared name.
Booking marks the moment Siskiyou County jail staff process a person after an arrest. Arraignment is different. That early court hearing is where the charges get read. Bail is a release condition set by a judge. Expungement or sealing is a separate court process whose effects are defined by law.
Siskiyou County Mugshots and Booking Photos
Citizen RIMS keeps its arrest photos turned off. Its notice points to California AB 994. That choice proves nothing about the photo itself. Nor does a blank image mean the arrest record is gone. Start with the text fields. Then ask Sheriff Records for a specific image using the booking number, date, and arresting agency. Disclosure can also be limited for an investigation, safety, privacy, juvenile status, or a sealed record. CDCR runs a separate state-prison photo and public-information process. The California booking-photo statute gives the official publication context.

Penal Code 13665 is narrower than people think. It limits how agencies share booking photos on social media. The statute includes exceptions. Covered posts generally must come down within fourteen days. Citizen RIMS is an agency-run data system, not ordinary social media, so the removal clock may not apply. Siskiyou County keeps the photo setting disabled anyway. A focused public-record request is the practical route, not an unofficial image index.
How to Obtain a Siskiyou County Arrest Record
The live view rolls off quickly. After that, use the county's GovQA request or call Sheriff Records at (530) 842-8301 or (530) 842-8303. Keep it narrow. A request for one specific Siskiyou County booking is far easier to answer than a demand for every record or image.
- Name the exact record: booking sheet, daily-log entry, arrest report, release detail, or one booking photograph.
- Give the booking number, arrest and booking dates, arresting agency, case or incident number, and location if known.
- Ask for electronic delivery and for any applicable fee estimate before copies are made.
- Save the submission date and tracking number, then distinguish the initial response from later production.
- If material is withheld, ask for the cited exemption and any segregable, non-exempt portion.
The Sheriff answers requests within ten days. California Government Code section 7922.535 treats ten days as the general period for an initial determination. It is not automatic delivery of records. Unusual circumstances can add fourteen more days with written notice. No fixed booking-photo fee appears in county materials. The official Siskiyou County records-request portal is the documented submission point.

The portal gives a request a trackable path. It is not a fast pass. Access, redaction, fees, and production time all depend on the specific Siskiyou County record sought. Some arrest records move faster than others.
Arrest Records and California Law
Government Code 7922.535 sets the rules for request determinations and extensions. Juvenile, sealed, victim, investigative, and safety-sensitive material may be withheld or redacted. Citizen RIMS skips some juvenile and sensitive calls too. An intentional omission is not a failed search. Work with it rather than around it.
For an arrest that ended without a conviction, California Courts describes relief under Penal Code section 851.91, with forms CR-409 and CR-410. Some cases qualify for automatic relief under section 851.93. Eligibility depends on the case. Keep four steps distinct: a court order, an agency correction, a publisher update, and a search-engine cache refresh.
Civil Code section 1798.91.1 bars commercial booking-photo publishers from charging an arrested person to remove, correct, or withhold an image. Never pay for a removal promise. Start with the agency record and the court result. Use a publisher's free correction process if one exists, but remember that a publisher change never alters the official source. The official Civil Code provision states the anti-pay-to-remove rule.

The law targets fee demands. It aims at commercial publishers, not the Sheriff's booking record. Deletion is not guaranteed. A Siskiyou County booking stays on file with the agency whatever a private site does.
Siskiyou County Custody Access Changed
Siskiyou County's online custody access has shifted over the years, so old bookmarks can mislead you. A 2023 to 2024 Civil Grand Jury report noted the Sheriff website. It had no booking or release data. The county answered with Citizen RIMS. That portal opens the same integrated system deputies use for arrests, citations, and cases to the public. Officials still call it a work in progress. Glitches pop up, and data keeps filling in. So when an older article claims no online arrest access exists, trust the newer route instead. Head back to the county Custody Division gateway. Check the page date before relying on any result.
Older Siskiyou County Booking Records
No public Siskiyou County source fixes a retention period for booking logs or photos, and Sheriff policy sends the Records Manager to established schedules without stating days or years. No day or year count is stated. A vanished RIMS entry therefore proves nothing. Records may sit in storage, transfer, or stay restricted.
Ask Sheriff Records first. Ask whether the specific booking packet, daily log, or image was retained, transferred, restricted, or destroyed under an adopted schedule. Then ask the arresting city for its incident report. Siskiyou Superior Court holds the case file. News can help too. Weekly arrest coverage may survive in the Siskiyou News archive, and the county library offers NewsBank access to Siskiyou Daily News from 1999, Mount Shasta Herald from 2000, and older Yreka-branch microfilm.
The California State Archives holds some historical prison and county-government collections. Current Siskiyou County Jail bookings do not land there automatically. Treat it as a later lead, and check its catalog for a relevant series first.
Warrants and the Siskiyou County Most Wanted List
Siskiyou County keeps its online warrant picture thin. The sheriff's Citizen RIMS warrant lookup is switched off. The most-wanted page has shown no listings. That empty page is just one day's reading. The county publishes no warrant database for the public at large. It runs no reward program and no set schedule for posting fugitives. The official Citizen RIMS warrants route shows where that portal stands today.

Portals change, so check the interface again before trusting it. Features get switched on and off without notice. Yreka Police will not tell you over the phone whether you have a warrant. Its FAQ tells you to come in with identification, and warns that you could be cited, released, or taken into custody on the spot. Wondering about someone else's warrant? That question goes to the court handling the case. An agency, a court, a lawyer, or a walk-in visit the agency approves beats any unofficial warrant database every time.
Leave the chasing to police. Never confront, follow, or detain a person on a wanted notice, and never post where they are. Call 911 for an immediate threat. For anything else, Sheriff dispatch is (530) 841-2900, and the Sheriff runs an anonymous web tip form for matters in its jurisdiction.
After a Siskiyou County Arrest
Booking comes first in Siskiyou County, and the court story follows. Local rules push in-custody complaints to the earliest slot. That slot comes no later than 1 p.m. on the first-appearance day, subject to court procedure. So a person can sit in the jail before any docket entry shows up. A missing case result does not mean the case vanished.
The Siskiyou Superior Court portal asks you to register first. General public users get 45 case searches a day. The court also warns that online entries may be incomplete or stale. Use the portal to spot a register of actions, a filing, a hearing, a bail entry, or a disposition. It will not hand you the police report. And it is not a certified record.
Want certified paperwork? The court's records form lists the prices. A search running past ten minutes costs $15. Copies run $0.50 per page, certification of other documents is $40, and exemplification is $50. Confirm those terms before paying. Most requests finish within ten working days after payment.
The county's 2026 bail schedule took effect in January 2026. A roster bail amount can reflect one charge. It can also reflect a hold or a stage of the case. Read the current court schedule. Do not treat one booking value as a prediction of release.
California Prison and Federal Custody
CIRIS tracks people in California state prison or related CDCR status. It does not cover fresh Siskiyou County bookings. A result can carry a CDCR number. It may also list age, location, commitment county, admission date, and parole-hearing details. A transfer has to be confirmed through the court and custody record. Do not guess from a blank jail search.
The federal side works differently. The BOP locator reaches federal inmates back to 1982 and lists no public photo field. ICE's locator covers people in immigration detention under its stated rules. The Marshals Service can hold federal pretrial prisoners in local or contract jails. It offers no national booking roster like Citizen RIMS. Match the system to the custody type. Never read a federal transfer into a missing result.
Siskiyou County also takes part in California VINE for confidential custody-change alerts. The VINELink Check walks through that separate notification path. VINE is not a booking-photo service, a warrant check, or a court docket. A later CDCR transfer calls for CDCR OVSRS registration.
